During the wet season，or the rainy season，there are naturally（自然地）a lot of wet days，or rainy days．On a wet day workers who work outdoors will get wet through if they happen to have no raincoats on（在雨天，如果在户外干活的工人碰巧没穿雨衣，就会全身湿透。）．
Don't sit on a bench（长椅）on which is hung a sign that reads“Wet Paint”（挂着“Wet Paint”的牌子的长椅可不要坐上去。）， for“Wet Paint”means the paint is not dry yet．
Similarly，a sign which reads“Wet Cement”tells you that the cement has not yet hardened（同样地，“水泥未干”的牌子告诉你，水泥还未硬结。）．If you step（踩）on it， you will make footprints（脚印）in it．
“Wet behind the ears”means“lacking experience or training（缺乏经验和训练）”．Is a teen-aged girl fit for taking charge of a kindergarten（一名十来岁的姑娘负责管理一个幼儿园，是不是合适呢）？Some people may think she is too wet behind the ears for the job．
