When you shop for things you can pay by cash,credit card or EFTPOS.
Cash
Cash means notes and coins you hand.
You can use your bank account card to get cash from your bank account.You can do this in the bank by filling out a withdrawal form.You can also use your card to get cash from an automatic teller machine(ATM).
You can also pay by cheque if you have a chequebook with your account.
Credit cards
Using a credit card means you will get a bill later from the credit card company.Credit cards include Bank card and VISA.
EFTPOS
EFTPOS means the money is transferred by computer from your bank account to the shop's bank account.Your EFTPOS card is your bank account card.To use EFTPOS you also need a number the bank gives you.It is called a PIN(Personal Identification Number).
Some shops will also give you cash from your bank account using EFTPOS.You must have enough money in your account to pay for the goods and services,and for any extra cash you ask for.
EFTPOS stands for Electronic Funds Transfer at Point of Sale.
