1)game"游戏,运动,比赛",或球赛等的"一场,一局"。例如:
He watches
every game that the team plays./He won the first two games but lost the third.
复数形式可表示"运动会",尤指国际性的综合运动会。例如:the Olympic Games,the Asian Games等。
另外,球、棋类运动属于game,所以能和a game of搭配。例如:a game of basketball。也能用a...match来表示。例如:a football match
2)sport复数形式指"运动会",一般指较小规模的运动会,如学校举行的运动会。例如:
Are you going to run in the school sports.
Boxing,skiing,swimming,skating,fishing, diving, climbing, shooting, horseriding, hunting, running, carracing, rowing, jumping 等属于sport,因此,我们应说:Boxing and carracing are considered by some as very dangerous sports.
3)match"比赛",常指队与队之间的"比赛",尤用于球类比赛。例如:

4)contest"比赛",常用于由一组裁判给评分的"比赛、竞赛"。例如:a com-position contest,beauty contest,a speaking contest,a recitation contest
5)competition"竞争","比赛",尤指针对力量、技巧、体能等方面进行的较量,其动词形式为compete。

1)be familiar to的结构为:sb./sth.is familiar to sb.某人所熟悉的事物或人。例如:
My father's handwriting is familiar to our teacher.
Your brother is quite familiar to me.
2)be familiar with的结构为:sb.is familiar with sb./sth.与……交情很好;……通晓。例如:
I'm not familiar with my cousin.
