句子理解(Sentences)
听辨单词一般把重点放在词语的辨音上,对句子或对话的理解只是作为确定正确选项的辅助手段。但句子理解则是把重点完全放在“理解”上。这种题型的特点是要求考生在听完一个句子的录音后,从卷面上所给的四个选项中,找出所听到的句子或与原句意思相近的句子,或是找出能回答所提问题的选项。
例题A:从下列选项中选出与你所听到的句子意思最为接近的一项。每个句子只读一遍。

解题技巧:
理解录音材料仍然是解这类题型的重点。只有正确理解题意,才能从所给的四个选项中选出与其意思相符的句子来。这要求考生做到以下几点:
1.听录音前要先认真审题,比较试题中所给的4个选项,通过精心鉴别,抓住4个备选句子之间的差异及关键的信息词,这样可缩小选择的范围,使听音过程更有针对性,做到集中精力鉴别相异的关键词语,有利于快速作出反应。如上面的第1题,四个句子的区别在于,①究竟是下雨还是下雪;②录音中的日期是星期三还是星期四。这样,在听录音的时候,把这两点作为重点,就能得出正确的结论了。
2.对录音中所提供的词汇和短语的理解十分重要。只有听懂了句义,才能把握关键词语,做出正确的判定。如上面的第4题,录音中提到had a lot of work to do,说明所讲述的人很“忙碌”,这样就可以迅速排除A、C两个包含free的句子。剩下的就是确定录音所指的是 aunt还是uncle。只要稍加留神,听了第二个词,就能确定D是正确的了。
