6.direct 和 directly:
direct 作副词是“直线地(in a straight line)”或“不停地”(without stopping or turning aside):
The next flight doesn't go direct to Beijing, it goes by way of Shanghai. 下一航班不直接飞北京,它绕道上海。
directly 是“立刻”(at once)或用于抽象意义即“直接地”(in a direct manner): She answered my question directly and openly. 她直截了当地、公开地回答了我的问题。
We have already sold some of those machines to China and are now represented there by the Engineering Export Ltd., Beijing.
May we suggest that you contact that company directly. 那些机器,有些已经销往中国,现由北京机械出口公司代理;因此,我们建议,你们直接与该公司联系。
directly 在英国英语中,特别是在口语里可作连词用,意思为as soon as:

7.easy 和 easily:
easy 作副词用主要用在成语里,例:
Take it easy. 请放心?选 (别紧张?选)
Easy come , easy go. 来得容易,去得也快。
Easier said than done.说来容易做来难。

I can easily finish the job. 我可以轻而易举地做完这工作。
The bed can be easily moved. 这床很容易搬动。
8.fair 和fairly
fair 作副词用见于:fight fair(公平搏斗),play fair (公平游戏)
fairly用于其他场合:
You didn't treat them fairly.你没有公平地对待他们。
fairly 也作限定词:It's fairly good/obvious.这很好/明显。
9.firm 和firmly
firm作副词见诸于stand firm(站着不动), hold firm to one's principle(坚持自己的原则)等。
其它场合用firmly:
He spoke firmly to me that he would persist in doing what is right. 他坚定地对我说,正确的东西他会坚持的。
I firmly believe that he is right. 我确信他是正确的。
10. free 和 freely
free 是“免费地”(without payment)和“自由地”(in a free manner),例: Children under six are allowed to travel free on buses. 六岁以下儿童可免费搭乘公共汽车。
Don't let the dog run free on the main road.不要让狗在大路上乱跑。
freely 是“公开地”(openly),“大方地”(generously),“没有限制地”(without limitation):
You may speak quite freely in front of me.在我面前你可以有什么说什么。
He gives freely to many organizations that help the poor. 他慷慨地向救济穷人的机构捐款。
British goods were allowed to move freely from one state to another.英国产品允许从一个国家运往另一个国家。
