我们常用祈使句请求别人做某事或不做某事，但祈使句往往含有命令成分，因此要特别注意语气和态度，尤其在使用否定祈使句提出请求时。

VI．Notes（注释）
①此句与上文所用的would，could表示请求时，比用will或can更礼貌更委婉，答语中可用will或can，但用Certainly．或With plea- sure．更显得礼貌和得体。
②Would ／Will you please．．．？是一种非常礼貌的请求形式，相当于汉语里的“您／你能……吗？”或“请您／你……好吗？”又如： Would you please close the window？请您关一下窗子好吗？
③同学之间比较随便，无需客套，故用Please get me something to drink．直接要求对方做某事。动词get比bring更常用，在口语中最常见，虽不正规，但很自然。
④用否定祈使句表示请求，其命令语气更重。但往往可以在句尾添上附加疑问句will you？或使用礼貌词please等，以便削弱命令语气。
⑤May I．．．？用于表示请求时，只用于第一人称，不能用于第二、三人称。又如：May I have this seat？我能坐这个座位吗？
⑥draw me a bus ＝draw a bus for me，意为“为我画一辆公共汽车”。可用介词for强调间接宾语的及物动词还有make，buy等： make ／buy sb．sth．＝make ／buy sth．For sb．。又如：I'll ask my father to make me a kite．（＝I'll ask my father to make a kite for me．）我要请我老爸给我做只风筝。
⑦这里的come on表示规劝、说服或激励，意为“来吧；快”。又如：It's your turn now，Tom．Come on．You can do well．Don't be afraid．汤姆，该你了。来呀，你能做好，别胆怯。
