知情者介绍，臧天朔此次被抓，与其在北京开酒吧时雇用的一批以东北人为主的势力团伙有关。2003年，廊坊火车站广场发生一起聚众斗殴事件。当时在廊坊开办酒吧的孙某与合伙人发生利益冲突，从北京找来一批东北人，与对方在廊坊火车站发生火拼，造成一人死亡，而那批东北人背后的老板便是臧天朔。此外，在本市通州区武夷花园发生的一起斗殴事件，幕后人物也是臧天朔。臧天朔手下的这伙人与本市发生的多起聚众斗殴事件均有关。公安部门随后对多起案件进行并案调查，初步调查出一个以臧天朔为首的势力团伙。
