(3) 不用冠词的情况

① 一般在不可数名词和专有名词前,不能用冠词.如:

Shanghai, France, China, milk, coffee, tobacco, tea

② 在表示季节、月、星期几等名称前,一般不用冠词.如:

Spring is warm. 春天是温暖的.

Today is Monday. 今天是星期一.

③ 复数名词表示一类人或事物时,不用冠词.如:

I don't like pears. 我不喜欢梨.

They are farmers. 他们是农民.

④ 名词前已有作定语的this, that, my, your, whose, some, any等代词时,不用冠词.如:

This is my umbrella. 这是我的伞.

Where is my coat?我的外套在哪里?

⑤ 称呼前面不用冠词.如:

I can't go home so early, Dad. 爸爸我不能这么早回家.

Mum!Where is my hat? 妈妈,我的帽子在哪里?

⑥ 三餐饭的名称前常常不用冠词.如:

I often eat my lunch at 12 o'clock.我经常12点钟吃午饭.

After supper, we will go for a walk. 晚饭后,我们将去散步.

⑦ 球类运动、棋类游戏等名词前不用冠词.如:

My brother likes playing basketball. 我哥哥喜欢打篮球.

⑧ 节日、假日等名词前.如:

New Year's Day 新年 Children's Day 儿童节

⑨ 在某些固定词组中,名词之前常不用冠词.如:

at night 在晚上 at home 在家

go to school 上学 go to bed 上床睡觉
